As we approach another New Year, we reflect upon the upcoming trends and their relevance within our current socio-political landscape. 

Looking back, 2021 has been more similar to 2020 than maybe we would have hoped. This has meant that we’ve learnt to appreciate our homes as both sanctuaries to escape to and places for creative inspiration. 

During the last couple of years the global pandemic has greatly shifted and influenced the way we live, work and socialise. As such, many have decided to embrace their new-found freedom and create the ultimate spaces for cocktail parties and entertainment. On the flip side, others have discovered a new appreciation for their homes as sanctuaries to retreat to.

After rounding up our top trends for 2022, what we’ve found is that these trends all sit firmly in 2 distinct camps: “Freedom” and “Sanctuary”. We can’t wait to see how these trends evolve over the coming months.
